The New York Forest Owners Association is recognized as the leading organization representing and serving the interests of the private forest and woodlot owners across New York State. We are not a lobbying or activism oriented organization, but seek to advocate on behalf of forest and woodlot owners by educating and informing our governmental agencies and policy makers on issues important to us. When legislation, policy, or regulations are being proposed by state government that impact the interests of private forest and woodlot owners, and is in keeping with our mission, NYFOA weighs in so your voice is heard.
